Admissions Staff Bio:
Which season is your favorite? Why?
Fall. The smells and the foods are the best. Plus, sipping coffee while watching the sun rise over the colorful leaves is my favorite way to wake up.
You have a 10 minute speech to give to a high-school. What is it about?
Mental health and self-esteem. I feel these are areas high school students don’t hear enough about or are too scared to talk with someone about. There is such a stigma out there with mental health, so a lot of people don’t seek help even when they need it. If I could be that light, that voice of reason, I would love to do so. I am very passionate about this subject and would enjoy being an advocate for those struggling. People need to love themselves because everyone is special. Everyone is unique. Love yourself and be who you are.
If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Pugs! I love those goofy little dogs and would geek-out if I sat in a room full of them! Maybe someday I’ll open a pug coffee shop, so my fellow pug-lovers can come, sip a cup of coffee, and get some puppy love!
If money were not an object, what would you do with your life?
I would live at on a quiet hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, and a dog. There would be no neighbors within viewing distance and I would still work for fun in a salon doing waxing, facials and nails. Oh yes, it would be the quiet, country life for me.
If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be and how long would it take you to spend the $10,000?
Clearly, the only logical answer is TJ Maxx (woot woot!), and it would take me months because I am very frugal and take my time to make sure I am only buying things I love. Friends go crazy shopping with me because I am totally that person who will carry something around the store for an hour only to put it back on the shelf because I realize it’s not quite what I am looking for or it’s a little too expensive.
