The Human Development & Family Studies (HDFS) Minor allows you to learn about family dynamics and human development. Your required courses are Healthy Couple Relationships, the Dynamics of Family Development, and Development across the Lifespan. You can then tailor your selective courses to fit your career needs.

If you want to work in School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Early Childhood Education, our program gives you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in working with relationships, families, and issues that face people across the lifespan.

To declare a minor, complete the "Applying for a Minor" survey online, and you will be given further instructions. Once this has been processed you will receive an e-mail confirmation from the Advisement Center.
