Engineers in the packaging industry tackle different problems than other engineers as this discipline focuses less on developing mechanical systems or products and instead, incorporates mechanics to create products that protect and promote other products. In our rapidly changing society, the packaging industry is at the forefront of interdisciplinary design.

Packaging is for students interested in:

  • Pursuing a degree that combines design, science, and creativity.
  • Learning to innovate with a variety of materials and technology and apply conceptual thinking.
  • Creating packages that allow products to be delivered safely and stand out in a retail environment.
