I’m Karla and I grew up in a small town surrounded by corn fields. After high school, I moved away to be the first in my family to attend college and eventually obtain my bachelor’s degree. During my time in college, I learned to step outside of my comfort zone. I studied abroad, participated in faculty research, and had a few internships that allowed me to work with students from similar backgrounds. Fast forward to today, I have a career that I am passionate about… helping students navigate the world of higher education!
