Sarah manages UW-Stout's Sustainability Office where she oversees a multitude of sustainability projects in energy conservation, renewable energy, transportation, green building, waste reduction, food systems, and more. She works with students and faculty to infuse sustainability into the curriculum through class projects. She serves as chair of UW-Stout's Sustainability Steering Committee, co-chair of the Campus-Wide Energy Committee, and co-chair of the Waste Reduction Work Group. She is also advisor to the Stout Student Association's Sustainability Council, which oversees UW-Stout’s Green Fee and funds campus sustainability projects that benefit students.
Outside of her work on campus, Sarah serves on the City of Menomonie's Energy Action Team and Joint Sustainability Working Group, as well as the City of Eau Claire's Sustainability Advisory Committee.
