Commencement scheduled Saturday, May 7, for 1,105 graduates

Spring commencement will be held for 1,105 graduates on Saturday, May 7, at UW-Stout.

A total of 876 undergraduate and 229 Graduate School students will receive degrees.

Three ceremonies will be held in Johnson Fieldhouse:

The ceremonies also can be seen via livestream on the UW-Stout commencement website and at the Memorial Student Center.

Provost Glendali Rodriguez will host the ceremonies. Chancellor Katherine Frank will provide remarks to the graduates.

Three graduates and an alum also will speak.

The alum is Ashley Neby, of Menomonie, a 2010 graduate in hotel, restaurant and tourism management who also earned a master’s degree in risk control and safety management in 2012. She works for Rockwell Automation as the Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Operating Systems manager. She also serves in the National Guard and was deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Neby will speak at all three ceremonies.

The student speakers are:

The ceremonies will include music by the UW-Stout Symphonic Band and the Jazz Orchestra, directed by Aaron Durst; and the Chamber Choir and the Symphonic Singers, directed by Jerry Hui.

Students and members of the UW-Stout community can share comments and photos on UW-Stout social media platforms using the hashtag #StoutGrad2022.

Diplomas will be mailed to students four to six weeks after final grades are issued.
