Liang Wu, with his wife, Jue, and son, Aaron. What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in earning your degree? My biggest challenge is career change. I used to be a graphic designer, and now I am shifting my career to web development. Programming is a challenge for me because I am really new to this new field. After three years in the MFA program and doing a lot of web development projects in class and a co-op, I've accumulated enough confidence in programming. I feel now I have control of my career, and I know where I want to head in the future.

What will you appreciate most about your UW-Stout experience? I really appreciate my MFA faculty in the School of Art and Design. They are my good friends, and they helped me a lot with both my life in Menomonie and my studies at Stout. They gave me opportunities, such as a graduate assistantship, to let me grow as a professional. I feel deeply that these faculty members really want to help students succeed.

What’s next in your life? I have found a job as a web designer in Racine. I will do full stack web development and continue my web developer path. I am sure there are more opportunities in the industry that await for me to explore. I am really excited about that.
