UW-Stout Career Services office is the centralized point of contact for employers looking to recruit at the University. We are committed to building and nurturing relationships to enhance opportunities for students and employers. Opportunities include:

  • Centralized recruitment process including posting professional and co-op and internship positions through CareerLink
  • On-Campus Recruitment activities
  • Career Conferences and networking events
  • Access and generate resume books of students and experienced alumni
  • Centralized co-op and internship program to create a pipeline for entry-level talent
  • Facilitate connections to multiple campus departments, faculty, and resources

Cooperative Education and Internship Program

Allows students to gain experience while performing meaningful work within your organization while earning credit at the university.  Hosting a co-op or internship position is the number one recruitment method used when searching for professional talent.  Learn More.

The Job Shadowing Program pairs UW-Stout students with UW-Stout Employers for an opportunity to spend one day in the workplace during winter break.  Learn More.

On-Campus Recruitment

Career Services' purpose is to help connect students and employers. Listed below are several ways your organization can consider to support your recruitment, branding, and relationship building efforts with UW-Stout. 

On-Campus Interviews

We will be offering limited on-campus interviews during Career Conference Week this fall.


If you are interested in participating in on-campus interviews during Career Conference Week, you need to request your interview schedule(s) in Handshake (separate from the Career Fair registrations).


Space is limited to requests will be approved on a first come, first served basis.

  • No cost to employers to participate.
  • Dates: Tuesday, September 28-Thursday, September 30
  • Interviewing Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm
  • Location: Memorial Student Center (302 10th Ave E, Menomonie, WI 54751)
Employer Presentations

Employer presentations, often called info sessions, open houses are informal introductions to your organization allowing recruiters to connect with students and increase your brand on campus.  All sessions are held in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) and are scheduled by the employer. 

Successful presentations can include the following:

  • Short 15-30 minute presentation with Q&A
  • Food and refreshments
  • Recruitment materials

It is recommended that presentations be scheduled in advanced in order to advertise to students and faculty. 

Employers are billed directly and responsible for costs.

Participate in Career Events

The Career Services office hosts several Career and Professional Events during fall and spring semesters.  To receive an invitation be sure you are an approved employer with current contact information in CareerLink.  

Faculty Connections and In-Class Presentations

UW-Stout Career Services can help you build relationships with UW-Stout program directors and faculty. If you are interested in a particular program, we can provide contact information. 

Connecting with Student Organizations

UW-Stout has over 200 student organizations, clubs, and groups.  Connecting with student leaders can be a great way to enhance your brand and recruitment efforts on campus.
