Your involvement is a key to connecting to others across campus. All students are encouraged to invest in one activity or club and hall involvement might be your one. You'll build friendships, develop leadership skills, feel more connected to campus, and boost your resume all while exploring your interests.
Join your Hall Leadership Committee right off the bat to plan programs and events for your residence hall throughout the year.
University Housing also employs five Student Leadership Assistants. This team of paid student staff members is trained to design events for on-campus residents and provide leadership development opportunities. They coordinate the Care Package program, manage the Hall Leadership Committees, and allocate funds for in-hall programming efforts.
Events that they plan throughout the year include:
- Bob Ross Paint night during Week One Orientation
- Stout's Favorite Pizza during Homecoming
- Stoutnic end-of-the-year celebration
- And many other campus-wide events
