At Little Bundle, we never underestimate the challenges that come with being a parent -- especially when you’re raising a family by yourself. We think it’s very important to recognize that being a single father comes with its own unique difficulties. Even though there are 2.5 million single dads in the United States (making up nearly a quarter of all single-parent households), single dads are often overlooked and underestimated. At Little Bundle, we know there are countless fathers doing an amazing job of shouldering all of the parenting responsibilities on their own. However, we also understand that the demands of single parenthood can make it very tough to focus on your own goals and aspirations. Eligibility: - Must be a graduating high school senior in your final semester who has been accepted to a university or must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical institution in the United States. - Must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident. - Must be a single father, child of a single father, or closely impacted by a single father. - All fields of study and GPAs will be considered.

Shinesty is proud to offer both the Work Hard Scholarship and the Play Hard Scholarship for students interested in forcing the world to take itself less seriously through academic and social excellence.
Apply if: You are an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student who possesses an impeccable work ethic and constantly strives for excellence in every aspect of your life, especially within academics. You see people leaving the library at 2 am and think to yourself, “Early night.” You put the team on your back for clicker questions. Your idea of fun is checking to see if your test scores have been posted - despite the fact that you already know you aced your exam. You do all the work in group projects, not because your team let you down, but because your work is just better. You actually read all 140 pages of the suggested reading. You got a perfect ACT/SAT score, but that’s the least impressive thing about your academic career. You thought graduating summa cum laude was too easy, so you picked up a second major so you could do it twice.

As a Dutch company, with our much-appreciated customers/parents base in the US, we want to give back to this community. The Dutch government financially supports single parents in the Netherlands so that studying and childcare can be combined. We have learned that in the US many students rely on available scholarships when their own finances are insufficient. For single parents, time and financial resources are often the cause for not being able to complete their education. As a degree can increase the financial stability, and the chance of a better future, of a whole family significantly we feel this is an important cause to which we want to contribute. Qualifications
