Caring for your well-being remotely

The Counseling Center is modifying operations in response to COVID-19 and will continue to deliver compassionate and confidential services, educational programs, and resources. If you have questions about other campus operations in response to COVID-19, please visit the university's official site.

The Counseling Center is now offering 50-minute tele-mental health appointments for students residing in Wisconsin using Microsoft Teams. If you wish to schedule a telehealth appointment, please call our office number (715)-232-2468. For students living out of state, licensure laws may allow us to provide telehealth services to continue care that you initiated when you were on campus. Please contact your counselor to learn if this applies to you. If you live out of state and are seeking services for the first time, you may contact our office and schedule a telephone consultation for help in locating counseling resources near you.

Transferring Care

To transfer your care to one of our licensed and trained counselors, please have your current mental health practitioner send your treatment summary to the Counseling Center for review and processing.

An initial appointment will be scheduled to discuss care needs, answer questions about services, and complete any forms to ensure records are current. Subsequent appointments can be made following the initial appointment.
